Maureen Brown was herself a professional dancer for many years and then opened her dance school in Caterham (Surrey) in 1973. It is a very friendly and happy school and all pupils, regardless of age and ability, can take part in the hotly anticipated school show at the Barn Theatre in Oxted. Many pupils also perform in local pantomimes in Caterham and the surrounding areas.

There are opportunities for school pupils to take I.S.T.D. (Imperial Society of teachers Dancing) exams in ballet, tap, modern and jazz. We are very proud of our 100 % success rate in these examinations.

Former dancing school pupils have gone on to make successful careers in profesional dance. We currently have former pupils performing roles in West End musicals, international shows and teaching dance themselves.

Pupils are accepted into the school from 3 years of age upwards. In fact some members of the adult tap classes were pupils when the school opened in Caterham in 1973!

Why not join in the fun?
